Definition
Leukemia is a disease caused by a cancerous mutation of the cells responsible for the synthesis of the globular count (white blood cells, platelets and red), confined in the bone marrow. Because of leukemia, it is produced series of abnormal or immature blood cells, unable to perform the tasks assigned to them by their healthy counterparts; Therefore, depending on the cell line concerned, leukemia causes a whole series of symptoms related to an anemic process (low concentration of red blood cells), infectious diseases (lack of white blood cells) and bleeding ( thrombocytopenia).

Symptoms of leukemia
The symptoms of leukemia vary however depending on the form with which it occurs. In acute leukemias, for example, the onset of symptoms is abrupt and rather violent, while there are chronic forms in which the disease can practically go unnoticed in the early stages.
As a general rule, the intensity of the symptoms of leukemia depends on the number and location of the accumulation of leukemic cells, which makes it quite different and possible non-specific symptom images. For example, in the event that the brain is involved, the symptoms mentioned above can be added headaches, vomiting, confusion, loss of muscle control, or convulsions. Sometimes leukemia can also involve the stomach, intestines, kidneys, testicles, eyes, skin or lungs.
